The professorial and pedagogical staff of the Department of Pedagogy, Psychology and SRS of the Institute of Pedagogy, Business and Law of the University of Humanities and Economics of Almaty held an evening of poetry on the theme "Mukagali-mangilik gumyr".

The poet's son Zhuldyz Makatayev and the poet's daughter-in-law Bakhytgul Aidarova were invited to the evening. Along with the main guests, equally well-known and creatively related to the poetry of the great poet are invited: Dyusen Magzumov, editor-in-chief of the magazine, performer of songs based on the words of M. Makatayev, actor of the Alatau theater, soloist of the Ushkonyr group Nariman Kazhimuratuly, as well as the author of several collections of poetry, poet Askhat Suindik and composer, singer Yerkin Tokseitov.

The son of the poet J.Makatayev shared his memories of his father, and B.Aidarova's daughter-in-law spoke about the work carried out to preserve the poet's legacy. The editor-in-chief of the Mukagali magazine, D.Magzumov, noted the importance of the magazine for modern youth.

The reproduction of songs and poems by the great poet gave an unusual atmosphere of high culture to the event: N.Kazhimuratuly performed a song by T.Rakhimov based on poems by M.Mukatayev, Askhat Suindik wailed poems dedicated to the poet, singer and composer Ye. Tokseitov sang the song "Ayagoz of Agada", which he created together with A.Suindik, associate professor of the department Gulnur Omirbayeva sang the song "Men nagyz mahabbatty armandaimyn" and U.Karibayev performed the song "Yesine meni algaisyn".

The event became more expressive and meaningful when the students read the poems of the poet M. Makataev and showed dramatizations of his works.

The poetry evening dedicated to M. Makataev will be remembered for a long time as an important component of the spiritual and educational events of the university's life.
