About the division
The sector is engaged in the organization of various types of practice of students and undergraduates.
The task of professional practice
- The main objective of the interns' professional practice is to consolidate and deepen theoretical knowledge, acquire practical experience and skills in the specialty being studied.
- The main objective of the educational practice is the acquisition by students of primary professional knowledge and skills in their chosen specialty
- The main task of the pedagogical practice of trainees is the formation of pedagogical skills, skills and competencies based on theoretical knowledge.
Internship program
- For the organization of practice, a developed and approved program of practice is necessary. These programs are developed by the teaching staff of the respective departments for each OP
- When developing programs, the following requirements must be taken into account:
1) general requirements:
- in junior courses, as a rule, educational practice is organized in the educational and auxiliary units of the university, as well as in organizations in the specialty profile according to the State Educational Standard of the Republic of Kazakhstan
- in accordance with the SES of specialties, practice is organized, the student collects material about the actual production activities of the organization in order to use it in the future when developing a diploma project (work);
- Students of correspondence forms of education, subject to their work in the specialty, are exempt from industrial practice. In this case, students submit to a higher educational institution a certificate from their place of work and a characteristic reflecting their professional activity according to the State Educational Standard of the Republic of Kazakhstan
- part-time students who do not work in the specialty are sent in accordance with the established procedure to the production (pre-graduate) practice to familiarize themselves directly on the ground with the work in their chosen specialty and collect relevant materials for the graduation project (work).
- The student during the pedagogical practice should participate in the educational process and conduct the necessary cycle of lectures
and practical classes.
Practice planning
- Practice planning is carried out on the basis of:
- working curricula of specialties;
- schedule of the educational process;
Providing practice
- The training of interns is carried out by the relevant department in the following sequence:
- checking readiness in terms of availability of programs, plans, methodological guidelines, the responsibility is borne by the heads of departments;
- heads of practice are appointed by heads of departments;
- contracts with enterprises are concluded by departments and the center
- representations for a group of interns are made by heads of departments;
- drawing up an order indicating the place and timing of the internship is carried out by the center
- Heads of departments, after concluding contracts, make a list of practice bases. These lists are transmitted to the KiBP Sector
- Heads of departments appoint professors, associate professors and experienced teachers who know the specifics of the profession and the activities of the practice bases as heads of practice.
- At the meetings of the department, issues related to the readiness for the practice, as well as monitoring the progress of the practice, should be considered and analyzed.
- Before the intern goes to practice, the head of the practice conducts an explanatory lesson:
- safety instructions at the places of practice;
- according to the requirements for interns (deadlines, daily routine, and so on);
- according to the recommended literature;
- according to the order of registration and submission of practice reports.
- Interns are provided with:
- practice program;
- practice diaries;
- referral to practice.
- If necessary, the heads of the practice will organize a medical examination of students sent to practice.
Requirements for trainees
- Interns who have fully completed the curriculum of the course must be admitted to professional practice.
- Interns are obliged to participate in the practice in accordance with the established procedure and concluded contracts.
- In the course of practice, the student must:
- a) meet the following requirements:
- complete the tasks provided by the internship program;
- keep a practice diary according to the appropriate forms for standard programs in the specialties;
- comply with the internal labor regulations in force on the basis of practice;
- strictly observe the rules of occupational health, safety and industrial sanitation;
- submit to the head of the practice a written report and a practice diary signed by the head of the company on the completion of all tasks.
- b) acquire practical skills in the relevant specialty
- The student has the right to:
- not to participate in work not provided for by the internship program;
- be accepted if there are vacancies for paid positions in the specialty profile.
Monitoring (control)
- During the internship, the practice managers and designated specialists at the workplace provide the necessary assistance to the interns and monitor (control) the internship process in terms of compliance with deadlines and content.
- The records of the internship by the trainee are kept by him personally in the practice diary. As necessary, but at least once a week, the head of the practice looks through the practice diaries, about which he puts his signature directly in the practice diary.
Registration of practice results
- The results of the practice are drawn up by the intern in the form of a report. The specific form and composition of the report is determined by the department, guided by the input requirements (program, individual assignments, the subject of the course or thesis).
Evaluation and improvements
- Upon completion of the internship, trainees must demonstrate their
experience and skills (protect the report) by
- a) representations:
- practice report;
- completed practice diary;
- characteristics (feedback) from the head from the place of practice and the head from the department;
- completed work (if it was provided for by the internship program);
- b) protection of reports before the commission organized by the department
- According to the results of the protection of reports, the commission issues an appropriate assessment, the minutes of the meeting of the department, the final conference are filled in.
- The assessment of the practice is registered in the appendix to the diploma.
- Additional value from the internship may be:
- improving relationships with organizations where the intern has had an internship;
- identification of opportunities for future employment of interns;
- clarifying the requirements of organizations for the skills and knowledge of graduates;
- The results of the practice should be analyzed and discussed at the department. Based on the results of such an analysis, proposals should be developed to improve the university's activities, which should be brought to the attention of interested parties.: PRK, Vice-rectors , Sector.
- The decisions taken to improve should be implemented by including subsequent plans for improvements of the department, sector.
