Almaty University of Humanities and Economics was established in September 2021 by combining higher educational institutions of the Almaty Academy of Economics and Statistics and the University of Almaty and is the legal successor of the Almaty Academy of Economics and Statistics. The institution "Almaty Academy of Economics and Statistics" has been transformed into the institution "Almaty University of Humanities and Economics" - (certificate of state re-registration of a legal entity dated August 03, 2021)

The institution "Almaty University of Humanities and Economics" operates on the basis of the state license for conducting educational activities No. kz40laa00031976 dated 06.09.2021.

The Institute of Economics, Statistics and Itechnology is a structural unit of ASUE and the successor of the Almaty Academy of Economics and Statistics, which has a history of its formation.

Closed Joint Stock Company "Almaty Institute of Economics and Statistics" (AECI) was established by reorganizing the state institution "Institute of Training, Retraining and Advanced Training of Personnel of the National Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Statistics" (PPI and PC) in accordance with the Decree of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated January 11, 1999 No. 19.

Over the past period, the following changes have been made to the legal status:

1. Reorganization of JSC "Almaty Institute of Economics and Statistics" into JSC " Almaty Academy of Economics and Statistics" (registration number 25395-1910-JSC 29.03.1999).
2. Reorganization of JSC "Almaty Academy of Economics and Statistics" into the institution " Almaty Academy of Economics and Statistics " (registration number 70438-1910-E dated 17.05.2005 G.).
3. The institution "Almaty Academy of Economics and Statistics " has been transformed into the institution "Almaty University of Humanities and Economics" (hereinafter referred to as the University) (certificate of state re-registration of a legal entity dated August 03, 2021).
