A forum of strategic partners of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan was held in Astana within the framework of the international conference "CONNECTED-2024". In which the Rector of AHEU Professor V.A. Korvyakov and the Vice-Rector of AHEU Seitkhamzina G.Zh. took part.

The event was attended by more than 300 representatives of higher education institutions, national and foreign partners, representatives of international organizations.

The main topic of the forum was "Education and Science of the Future". The moderator of the event was the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Sayasat Nurbek. Within the framework of the forum and panel discussions, topical issues of higher education development, as well as challenges and prospects in this area were discussed. The forum became an important platform for exchanging experiences and holding an international discussion on the future of science and education with the participation of leading experts.

Minister Sayasat Nurbek emphasized that the partnership opens up great opportunities for the development of the education system in Kazakhstan. He noted that Kazakhstan, being in the center of the rapidly growing population of Central Asia and Eurasia, strives to become an educational hub for students who are looking for alternative higher education opportunities.

The head of the department also spoke about the model of digital universities developed in partnership with leading universities around the world. Over the past two years, significant expansion of cooperation has been achieved, which has allowed adapting educational programs to modern requirements and international standards.

One of the main objectives of the forum was to develop key approaches to the transformation of higher education in Kazakhstan. As a result of the discussions, the participants proposed creating an International Council, which will become a permanent platform for exchanging experience and forming strategic recommendations in the field of science and education.

In addition, sessions were held on the topics "International scientific publications - challenges and development" and "Training personnel for economic sectors in cooperation with JSC Samruk-Kazyna". Bilateral meetings were also held with representatives of Gazi University, City University of Hong Kong, the Organization of Turkic States.
