RESEARCH WORK

AHEU's policy in the field of research is reflected in the mission of the university as the preparation of highly intelligent individuals, highly qualified specialists of all levels in various sectors of the economy, in accordance with international standards through the introduction of progressive educational technologies, a system of distance learning and improvement within the university management and on the basis of the integration of education, science, production and business.

Almaty Humanitarian and Economic University is accredited as a subject of scientific and scientific-technical activities by the Authorized Body for the period 09.22.2021 - 09.22.2026 according to Certificate series MK No. 000238, 09.22.2021

The scientific activities of the University are aimed at:

- development of science through fundamental and applied research;

- strengthening the unity of educational and scientific processes, active participation of teaching staff in scientific research and widespread involvement of students in the activities of scientific teams;

- constant improvement of the professional level of teaching and research personnel based on the active use of the results of scientific activity in the educational process, in the training of highly qualified personnel, retraining of specialists and the development of new specialties;

- expansion of international scientific cooperation and participation in international scientific organizations, funds, programs;

- research and development of scientific and methodological foundations for the development of higher professional education.

Scientific directions carried out at the university are carried out both at the expense of customers and through self-financing.

Every year two International Scientific and Practical Conferences are held at AHEU, following which collections of reports are published. Representatives of universities in Kazakhstan, as well as from countries far and near abroad, participate in them.

The results of research work are actively used in the educational process. Certain concepts, provisions, models, theoretical and methodological developments are included in lecture courses of academic disciplines, and are also used by undergraduates and students when performing final qualifying works in relevant specialties and areas of training.

Among the most significant projects, it is worth noting the work performed at the expense of customers:

“Stimulating investment activity through the introduction of new financial instruments in the form of green certificates” under the Grant of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan,

“Conducting a study of the socio-economic development of the city of Almaty in order to identify reserves for economic growth” commissioned by the Department of Economics and Budget Planning of the Akimat of the city of Almaty,

“Developing Industry Academia Links and University Partnerships (DIAL UP)” together with the Cavendish Laboratory of the University of Cambridge and N. L. Gumilev ENU, commissioned by the Royal Academy of Engineering (London) within the framework of the Newton-Al-Farabi Partnership Program of the British Council in Kazakhstan,

“Personnel mobility under the Erasmus+ Program” in collaboration with the University of Economics in Bydgoszcz (Poland),

“Financial and banking systems of Russia and Kazakhstan: current problems in the context of global instability” commissioned by the Institute of International Economic Relations, Moscow

- Global financial market: modern realities and development prospects. Customer – Institute of International Economic Relations, Moscow, Russian Federation. Amount of financing: 2 million 100 thousand rubles. for 3 years. The annual funding volume is 700 thousand rubles/year or 4 million tenge/year. Scientific director Doctor of Economics, prof. Bertaeva K.Zh.

- AP09260795 “Organizational and economic mechanism of managed urbanization in the post-pandemic period.” Scientific supervisor Bekenova L.M. State grant of the Committee of Science of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2021-2023, the amount of financing is 54,189,839.00 for three years, the annual amount of financing is 18063279.67 tenge.

- AP09258860 “A new era of sustainable development of agglomerations: renewable sources and circular innovation.” Institution "Almaty Academy of Economics and Statistics", Scientific director Tleppaev A.M. State grant of the Committee on Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2021-2023, the amount of grant funding is 51,071,277.00 for three years, the annual funding amount is 17,023,750 tenge.

- AR19676692 Structural changes in the economy of the EAEU and their impact on the sustainable development of the economy of Kazakhstan. Scientific supervisor, Doctor of Economics, Professor Shokamanov Yu.K. State grant of the Science Committee of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Agreement No. 357/23-25 dated August 3, 2023 for 2023-2025. The amount of financing is 69923344.40 tenge. for three years, annual funding 23307781.3.

AHEU has research laboratories:

- Research Laboratory “Socio-Economic Statistics and Forecasting” (SRL SESiP) based on the Department of “Accounting, Audit and Statistics”.

- Research laboratory “Information systems and resources for education and business” based on the department “Information systems and general education disciplines”.

All research work is coordinated by the Department of Science and Innovation. Plans and reports of research and development work for the calendar year are heard and approved at meetings of the Academic Council.

The university publishes a quarterly scientific and practical journal “Statistics, Accounting and Audit”, which is included in the list of scientific publications of the Committee for Control in the Sphere of Education
