On March 12 2024, the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange, in order to improve financial literacy, held a webinar for retail investors on the topic «About futures in simple words».
      The speaker of the webinar, Altynai Kumashova, a leading project development specialist at the KASE Trading Department, told the participants of the event what futures are, what types of futures there are, what properties and characteristics they have, their advantages and how they differ from stocks and bonds, where to look at the characteristics of futures contracts, and also answered the main question – how futures they are used in trade. The webinar was organized in order to improve the financial literacy of retail investors and all interested parties who want to understand the foundation of working with futures contracts.

 The work was attended by 3rd year students of the OP «Finance» of ASUE Tskhe V.V., Marinenko A.G., Yerzhanova A.E., and Fedonkin P.A., they were able to gain knowledge about futures using understandable examples to be able to start working with this financial instrument, understanding its structure, basic principles of trading and risk management strategy.
